Why is everyone so afraid of ex-President Jimmy Carter?
Published on April 15, 2008 By Harry_S In International

Ex-President Jimmy Carter is going about the work of the Jimmy Carter Foundation's stated purpose of promoting peace around the world. How can this be wrong, he is a private citizen that has the right to do what ever he pleases as long as he does not break the law.

Why are our leaders going so overboard on calling this man of peace the worst president in history, and the president of so little accomplishment when they themselves can not even begin to compare with what they have done for their own family's peace as Mr Ex President Jimmy Carter has done for world peace since leaving office. Not to mention, Oh just perhaps the biggest peace deal of tje middle east before the Reagan years. Oh by the way I was Ronald Ragans campaine chairman in his first attempt and was defeated by, let me see what was his name? Oh Yea, Jimmy Carter.

It would be very important for the current presidential canidates to listen to Mr. Carter when he returns from his trip to the middle east and other troubled parts of the world. He is going to go with an earnest ear, to really listen with respect, not with the threat of superiority, or war or both. He will truly listen, to what is causing the  problems of human dissent and the decline in meeting basic human need's, Is there something that can be done for peace around the world? And the problem with that is?? Mr. Obama, Mrs Clinton, and even John McCain should open their arms and their ears if they really care about all americans and the commuity of the world. The next President of the Umited States of America has a very hard job of restoring crediability for us to the rest of the world. Good Luck to all of you but please be smart enough to listen to a very bright and experienced statesman, with any luck you will have a chance to become one.

Carter indeed wasn't very productive, and there were things he did that were not...positive, but yeah, I agree. I don't get why people associate his presidency with what he does now, they're separate things.
